The President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services is inviting applications for the 2014 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards!

Each recipient will be awarded a generous $10,000!  Awards also include invitations to visit and accept the honor at The White House from First Lady Michelle Obama and to attend a conference this summer in Washington, D.C.  These lucky recipients also receive a great deal of press, which includes being featured on the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards website. Only 12 awards will be given, but JAM/YAM programs are a PERFECT fit. The only catch is that your JAM/YAM program must have been operational since January 2010.

Please visit the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards website for more information. Applications are due by Monday, February 10.

The D’Addario Music Foundation is committed to inspiring and assisting the growth and appreciation of music throughout the world by partnering with passionate music educators. Through the generous support of D’Addario and Company, the D’Addario Foundation awards small grants and product donations to educational programs that offer sustained opportunities for active participation in music making particularly to those that might not otherwise have the opportunity. This foundation offers grants in two cycles each year, and the nearest deadline is approaching!

If your program has never applied to D’Addario for grant funding before, or has not received a grant in the past two years, a simple letter of inquiry is required.  Please submit these online to [email protected] no later than January 31, 2014. Please visit the D’Addario Music Foundation website for more information about what to include in your letter of inquiry.  You will receive a response by February 15 about whether or not you are invited to apply!
