Hello, JAM world,
Happy New Year! We have an exciting opportunity to extend to our JAM, Inc affiliates. Due to the generosity of Scott & Mimi Thomas and The Kruger Brothers, we are very happy to be offering a scholarship opportunity to one young musician who is currently, or has previously, been connected with an actively affiliated JAM or YAM program in NC, SC and VA.
The scholarship will cover all camp fees (including meals) for the annual Kruger Music Academy held May 2-3, 2014 (Friday & Saturday) in Wilkesboro, NC. If you are not familiar with the music of the Kruger Brothers, please check out their website at www.thekrugerbrothers.com. The camp will offer classes in banjo, guitar, and bass, and has many other activities throughout the weekend.
We do ask that applicants be at least 16 or older and serious about his/her musicianship in order to apply. So, we ask that you all please share this so that JAM/YAM ‘graduates’ can find out and apply.
There is also a short deadline of March 3, in which all applications need to be postmarked in the mail. A committee from the JAM, Inc staff and Board of Directors will choose the winner.
