Here are some super talented kids from Watauga Co, NC who grew up in the JAM program there. They are going to South America to serve as ambassadors of traditional mountain music at the world’s largest international music festival for children and need your support! Read on and watch the video for more information.

Our story is bluegrass and we need your help to share it with the world!

Youth bluegrass band Cane Mill Road has been invited to represent The United States of America by playing 3 concerts at the world’s largest international music festival for children – El Concierto En Iguazu.
The concerts include a featured bluegrass performance solo as a band at the grand finale concert with all 700 kids from around the world on stage while we perform bluegrass and thousands watching live at the concert, on TV, and even more on YouTube.

It will be the first time in the festival’s 6-year history that bluegrass will be played. The United States has been represented by choirs, orchestras, and even a bagpipe band. This year the USA’s musical heritage will be bluegrass, if we can raise the money to go!

This is where we need your help! Help the kids in Cane Mill Road raise the funds to travel to Argentina to join 700 other kids from around the world, all showcasing the musical heritage of their home countries. Let’s make bluegrass the music of America!

12-year-old Liam Purcell will play fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, and sing.
16-year-old Kinsey Greene will play bass, guitar, and sing lead vocals.
17-year-old Eliot Smith will play guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, and sing.

All three kids and their families will be doing their part at home in Boone, North Carolina by working mowing yards, busking, playing gigs, teaching lessons, walking dogs, and by coming together for local fundraisers.
But we know we can’t do it alone, we need the help of the bluegrass community, friends, and family!
These three kids love bluegrass music and want to be bluegrass ambassadors to the world!

If you own a business or corporation, there are advertising opportunities available to sponsor the band.
