Alexander JAM (NC)



Alexander JAM began in the spring of 2016 for children at Hiddenite Elementary School, Alexander Christian Academy and Stony Point Elementary. Alexander County is located in the foothills of North Carolina, near Hickory, Lenoir and Morganton. This new JAM program offers multiple sites and is held at the Hiddenite Arts and Heritage Center in Hiddenite, NC on Tuesdays starting at 4 p.m. Classes are offered in clawhammer banjo, fiddle, and guitar. Another site meets on Wednesdays from 2:30–3:30pm at Alexander Christian Academy located on Icard Ridge Road in the Bethlehem community. Lessons are being offered for guitar, fiddle, banjo and mandolin.
