Daniel Joseph Peck, age 71, passed away in his sleep on September 14, 2024. He was an avid musician and photographer and a regular participant in many old-time festivals including Galax, Rockbridge, and Musicalia, recorded several albums with the Buck Mountain Band, and served as the Operations Director for Klez Kamp, an annual week-long gathering dedicated to Yiddish culture and music. He was also a professional database developer whose clients included the Milton & Sally Avery Arts Foundation and the Motherwell Foundation. He published several books on Filemaker and on digital photography. He is survived by his wife Sarah Boslaugh of St. Louis MO, his brother Joseph Peck of San Rafael CA, his nieces Kaitlyn (Neptune NJ) and Denise MacCalla (Levittown PA) and Elizabeth Sessa (Whippany NJ) and nephews Gary MacCalla (Toms River NJ) and Al Sessa (Whippany NJ), grandnephew Liam Lambusta (Toms River NJ), cousins Maureen Peck and Kathleen and Joe Tetley of New Jersey and Pat Clayton of Florida, and his brother-in-law Brad MacCalla (Eatonton, GA).
