Original Wayne Henderson oil painting by Amy Queen, prints signed by Wayne himself are now available! Only 50 prints will be made in the first edition. Half of all proceeds will go to Junior Appalachian Musicians in honor of Helen White. Prints are 11 x 14 and should arrive by Thanksgiving. The Mountain School of Strings and Transylvania JAM (NC) present the Mountain Music Throw-down! The event will include contests, music and social distanced picnics. All ages and levels are welcome. This morning Junior Appalachian Musicians and, the nonprofit, Hungry for Music were featured in NPR's Morning Edition airing of "Have A Musical Instrument Gathering Dust? Nonprofit Will Take Your Donation." Hungry for Music is a nonprofit organization that takes donated musical instruments and refurbishes them for children who need an instrument to use.
