Elkin JAM began in spring 2022 as a collaboration between the Reeves Downtown School of Music and local musicians. It is held on Wednesday afternoons at the Reeves Downtown School of Music and is dedicated to providing affordable traditional Appalachian music instruction to children grades 4-8. It is the only JAM program in Surry County, NC, an area known around the world for its immensely rich musical history.
